World Forum on Shooting Activities is pleased to sponsor Social Media: The Most Powerful Weapon in Our Public Relations Arsenal.

Attendees will leave the workshop with a greater understanding of how social media is shaping public opinion, and how members of the shooting sports community can leverage that information to promote better understanding about lawful civilian firearm ownership and use.

Daniel Morgan – USA

Director of Communications for Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc.

A life-long fly fisherman and sporting enthusiast, Daniel Morgan was born and raised in Stamford, CT.  His love for the outdoors originate from the time spent with his grandfather exploring the woods and steams of upstate NY each summer during his youth.  He attended college at St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY and following graduation, Daniel pursued his passion for the outdoors professionally. Starting off as a guide and instructor, he has since held corporate, advisory, and consulting positions with several outdoors companies, multi-channel media groups, companies, individuals, foundations and organizations providing strategic solutions for social media, online marketing and communications.

Currently, Daniel resides in Cazenovia, NY. He serves on the Facebook Small/Medium Business Council and sits on the Board of Directors of the Cazenovia Lake Association.  His work has been featured in Facebook for Business, Fox News, Network for Good, and the San Francisco Examiner.  He has lectured for Cornell University, the North American Association on Environmental Education, and served as an expert panelist at Facebook marketing forums.  In 2015, he received the “Best Social Media Campaign Award” for his work on #GivingTuesday – an annual global day of charitable giving.  In addition to his consulting and advisory work, Daniel currently serves as the Director of Communications for Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. a non-profit organization serving injured and disabled military and veterans in the United States. When not at work, you can find him prowling his nearby woods and trout streams with fly-rod and gun in hand.

Andrea Luminati – ITALY

Andrea Luminati, Marketing Communications Strategist and owner of Studio Luminati Marketing Consulting Firm.

A graduate from Pepperdine University, Andrea Luminati began his career in 1991 in Los Angeles where he created successful advertising campaigns for companies including The Los Angeles Times, Technicolor, Bond Street Capital and Packard Bell. In 2004 he opened his marketing consulting firm in Italy and has since served clients from diverse industries ranging from tourism to entertainment and from food to firearms. Among these is Benelli, world-leader in semiautomatic firearms and a client since 2008, for whom Luminati has developed and launched breakthrough social media programs, including the first and only YouTube advertising campaign to feature a brand of firearms despite the medium’s stringent anti-gun policies.

Deeply interested in the complexities and challenges of communicating the firearms sector, Luminati has also lectured at WFSA, AFEMS and Benelli international conventions and is currently developing innovative techniques for the industry to reach new markets through social media.

Outside of his consulting duties, Luminati enjoys teaching as an adjunct Marketing Communications Professor at a number of Italian higher learning institutions including the University of Urbino, the ISIA Graphic Arts Institute in Urbino, and the Salesians Institute in Bologna.
